Sometimes the hen just gets an attitude! Sweet Abby took this picture of one of our hens. I donated the original 5x5 to the Fine Arts Institute of Edmond, OK for one of their fundraisers.
No matter what stage of life I have been in - student, wife or mother - my passion for creating and drawing has been a constant companion. Horses were my first passion. From the moment I could hold a pencil I was drawing them. In later years, I painted furniture, clothes, glass and dabbled in papier-mache. In 2011 my show horse "broke" (don't worry, Luke's living the Life of Riley out at our ranch). That year, as I tried to rehabilitate him. I found myself with a LOT of spare time so I pulled out the starter-set of acrylic paints my husband had given me the year before. It was love at first stroke! To be honest, I learned how to mix paint by watching YouTube videos. I am self-taught through trial and error and technology. But...
